The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a British accountancy body which offers the Chartered Certified Accountant (Designatory letters ACCA or FCCA) qualification worldwide. It is one of the world's largest and fastest-growing accountancy bodies with 140,000 members and 404,000 affiliates and students in 170 countries (as at April 2010). The Institute's headquarters are inLondon with the principal administrative office being based in Glasgow. In addition the ACCA has a network of nearly 80 staffed offices and other centres around the world.

After completing my foundation studies in UTAR, again it has created another twist in my route. I was contemplating whether to continue my 3 years accounting degree course there or to take the pass-or-die programme, which is what mentioned above, ACCA examinations. In order to become the affiliate of the professional body, one must at least pass 14 papers. Currently I am doing part one which constitutes F1 F2 and F3. A safer option would be to complete the accounting degree first and apply for exemptions for ACCA papers. Maximum exemptions entitled are 9 papers and the candidate is require only to take up the remaining 5 papers. Worst to worst, the candidate still posses a degree qualification should the candidate fail to complete the remaining papers. The reason why I put it a pass-or-die exams is that I will only left with my foundation in arts qualification if I fail to pass in minimal time. The pro is, I have the flexibility to look for different lecturers for each papers, with vast experience and with excellent teaching and mentoring records recommended by former students. The appealing part of it is, I can become an ACCA affiliate or probably the member of it in minimal time, the chartered accountant. My only concern is the low passing rates among ACCA students as the exams are really tough.

Going against the odds has always been perceived as something should not be done. While I agree partially with it, deviance does has it own advantage as well. The norms sometimes build complacency, where in the end the process of learning is disrupted. A lot have questioned about my decision and mostly did not agree with what I have done.

Quit matriculation offered by government with monthly allowances, free accommodation and an almost certain entry to public universities.

Turning down the scholarships worth 50% of course fee offered by UTAR to continue with accounting degree after completed foundation studies with qualified CGPA.

And now I have chosen to take ACCA exams directly.

Would this be the best route for me? I do not know.

Now I have made the decision and I am going to live with the decision. Prove the critics wrong and start moving. My F2 lecturer is somebody different, from a fishmonger to now a tycoon. His favourite question, 'How good you want to be?'.

2 days @ Genting

Mentioned in the earlier post, I went to Genting with my classmates on 3rd of May for 2 days. I was unorganized the day before I left for Genting because I was awake for the whole night and I could not reach the van driver who supposed to take Alex and me up there. I was clueless about the van's availability because he did not phone me up to confirm it. I waited until half hour to twelve before I rang him continuously in vain. All the calls I made went straight to the operator. Frustrated, I stopped. I assumed that he will be coming to take us because I've already told him that I wanted two seats earlier. The thing was, he never convincingly assure me two seats as he was busy driving the time I phoned him, therefore I was expecting him to reconfirm with me later.

I phoned him the next morning and I reached him that time.He agreed to fetch Alex and me and at Shell petrol station. Fetched Alex from his house to the petrol station at 9 am and waited for almost 45 minutes before we got ourselves into the van. Only managed to take a short nap in the van as I was awake for the whole night day before.

So this is how it goes after we reached Genting.

Unexpectedly,we reached Genting earlier than the others.Gathered at Genting Resort Hotel's before we made our move to outdoor theme park.Thanks to Kar Lin's friend for the cheap tickets.Below are few of the pictures we took in the theme park.

Bumper boat was hilarious and of so much fun.Not because I'd never got onto it before, but the conspiracy all of them planned made it interesting. They conspire to surround me with NINE BOATS.They succeeded in the end and I was trapped at one edge of the lake.As usual, I am the target again, perhaps I crapped a lot and teased them non-stop.

Finally moved out from the outdoor when almost all of us were starving. Had our dinner at one of the outlets there that charged exorbitant rates.Soon after we have our stomachs filled, we wasted no time to get ourselves into the bumper car. Played for 2 consecutive games because it was... refreshing I shall say because as we bumped to one another, it turned my sleepiness into consciousness.

Played few others indoor games before the guys went for pooling. Watched Ip Man 2 at 1.30 a.m on the second day. Was fatigued after the movie and I got myself to bed immediately after I had my teeth brushed.

The rooms we stayed were awesome.They were big and connected to each other.There was a door that connects two rooms together.So, you know what the monkeys like us will do when there is such a connectivity. The rooms are of queen-sized if I am not mistaken, and special credits to Kar Lin and her family for their generosity.The rooms were redeemed by Kar Lin's family using Genting World Points for us.

The next day was simple and predictable.Shopping and lingering around Genting. Bid farewell at 4 pm.Although Genting was no stranger for me as I've been there quite a number of times, the latest trip there was a special one. The excitement is there when we travel together with friends.

Blow-to-Blow

Exam finished, meaning holidays started, often along with boredom only to overcome it by searching a temporary job. This semester break will be a different one. A trip to Genting? Genting is the place again, I know its AGAIN.But it is different because I am going with my my group of friends I met since semester two. You can imagine how destined it was for us to meet under the new implemented flexi-timetable system. Yea, we arranged it, but before that I did not even know who are my would-be classmates.Below are the blow-to-blow line-up about the happenings these few semesters.

Was scheduled to join TA27 in the first semester. Everything was new to me. Did not went for orientation, so ended up searching for lecture and tutorial classes in block A.

Classmates were total strangers to me when I eventually found the actual lecture and tutorial class the next day with the help from the guards. First lecture I attended was maths, where two girls dressed ostentatiously came in few minutes after me. One was Yen Wei, cladding in a cardigan, bottomed a mini skirt with a symbolic LV bag on her hand. Another was Siew Hui, dressed almost similarly. The first question in my mind was 'Are they coming here to study?'.

Got to mixed around with others during assignments and presentations where we were required to form our own group. Known each other better day-by-day. We were known as the TA27.

Semester one exam ended. New flexi-timetable system was implemented for the first time. For those who have totally no idea about it, it was a system that allows students to register the time and day for their respective subjects subject to availability.As it sounds, it works in first-come-first-serve basis. Decided to arrange the time consistent with what class rep's friends did. Who are them? - my first question.

Semester two started.Alex said he was impressed with me when sociology first class commenced and he said he wanted to know me. Somehow, we got to know each other because he is one of the friends under the same timetable schedule. Looking back, it was odd to notice that we did not talk much to each other and we were unusually quiet because we have not gotten to know each other well and all of us were hiding our true colours, each trying to impress another.

Presentations and assignments again were the barrier-breaker between us as we had the chance to communicate, what's more with the given topic of discussions. Things got crazy until end of semester two. A pleasant fact I found in us was, we inadvertently built acquaintances as we moved on. Needless to say, powerful and influential social network like Facebook made us connected, when third-degree friends gradually became mutual friends.

Finished semester two exam, semester three which was the short semester started. Our network grew stronger as we realised that we soon would be apart, each pursuing different degree, while some were leaving for other campuses and institutions. As you can see from Yen Wei's profile, tonnes of photos had been taken, a lot until Yen Wei had to create albums for every months.

It happened so fast, that I can vividly recalled them, as if it was only yesterday.For now, I'd finished semester three's exam and completed foundation studies. These moments would be a slow , monotonous and colourless without the presence of you all. You all taught me a lot of things that couldn't be learned from books, and I am thankful for that.

The Only Thing That Is Certain In This World Is Change

I seek changes. I expect changes. I want changes.

It has always been my belief that I should not adopt the same way in dealing with a particular problem, as successive approaches will have their effectiveness decreased. The irony is, when it comes to something habitual, the susceptibility of doing things conventionally increased. This is probably due to the facts that I am comfortable with the ways of dealing with things and the outcomes were deemed satisfactory.

I do not want to look weak. I always wanted to be on the winning side. I constantly review myself to find flaws and weaknesses and hoping to overcome it. Guess I should start changing, away from conservatism.

I remembered one of my school teachers told us :-

Do not expect different outcomes with same approaches.

Continual Struggle

According to the general conflict theory, sociologists generalized the theory as a continual struggle in the society. Humans fight for existence, so do I.

Believe that everyone can succeed, only with sheer grit and passion. Often we failed to see what our ultimate goal in our life is, because we failed to understand ourselves. There are sure, challenges and obstacles that hinder us from proceeding further. It requires perseverance and patience to get through before tasting the fulfillment.

I thought I was tough and have adequate resilience to get through my random depressions. I started to foresee the limitless challenges awaiting me in the future. I started to feel lost. My directions are gradually swaying away from my very own direction. I learned that there are no such things like regrets in life, only lessons that pull us through.

With the advent of modernization, things seemed to be appealing and distracting. I must say that the environment we are living in has a major impact in our lifestyle, be in shaping mentality or influencing personality. It might derail our track in life, or it might pull you back from the edge of a cliff. I have no control over that, I just want to enjoy life to the fullest, without neglecting the hunger for wealth,power and achievements.

My mindset was often trapped between consciousness, subconsciousness and unconsciousness, but I'd learned to regard failures and temptations as another form of challenges. Life is about a continual struggle. It's a battle between the survivals, and only the fittest will survive. I am uncertain where me-myself will take me to.Come what may.

Secrets Are Meant To Be Undisclosed

I've told myself to keep my blog alive, at least one post every month.Somehow, my mind is rather blank and had totally no idea on what to write on. To be frank, I am quite secretive.This is contradictory to the blogging purpose, a medium for me to express myself. Secrets are meant to be undisclosed. However, inevitably, secrets somehow spark curiosity and unwanted scrutinity. It would be ridiculous if a question sounded like "Can you tell me your secret?" was asked. Mind you, if the question were to be answered, it should not have named secret!. The thing is, secrets bring in guilt, although you should not feel in that way in the first place. People start to make their own assumptions and prejudgements, based on their very own creative imaginations. All sort of stories and pictures will be drawn out. You might be viewed as someone who had committed something errant, someone who has violated the standard of conduct expected by the people, as this is the only explaination for them on the reason why you are being so secretive.

We are limited, but we can push the borders further from our limitations.

08 February 2010 - Monday

Well, I myself is not a fanatic of him.But it happened that his autograph session coincided with my visit there. I do not know his arrival until my friend told me, no advance planning thus.

Managed to secure a strategic spot.The view was perfect until those media practitioners started oozing into a square area specially for them.Therefore I have resorted to some photo-taking skills.Here you go.

Inch-perfect gap between her legs. Wouldn't resort to this if she is not blocking the view.

=] Saw Hitz FM JJ and Ian there as well, for the first time in person. Hmm... the trip seemed to be a fruitful one. But it's not a big deal for me unless Manchester United FC was there. Woooohoooooo!!!

Simplicity Conquers Complexity

There was a chemistry of stress and excitement especially the time I was celebrating Xmas this year away from hometown with bundle of assignments in hand yet to be completed, unprecedentedly I shall say. I ensure that stress should not linger around my thoughts that will ultimately disrupt my holiday mood. It really requires A LOT of efforts and management when you need to make things done within a time frame when you have decided to spend half the time given away from your laptop and study desk. It was only after t needed he Sunday of Christmas's week that I positioned myself in front of my laptop, with all the materials beside, and back to business.

2009's Christmas Day was a special one.I'd embarked into a KTM on the eve at mid-day alone before I met my friends in KL.Beside me was a man in his late 50s, I guess.We had some conversations, some which had enlightened me. He portrayed his wisdom through his speech, holding on a book about Buddhism, keeping on a friendly conversation.We chatted on issues that turned me on- educational and political issues.He is one of the Lions of Leo Club, Pei Yuan.

I met Wilson in Time Square.We went clubbing at midnight near KLCC , at Jalan Raja Chulan if i am not mistaken.Before that, I was sceptical whether to join him.Soon after his family offered me the accommodation, I agreed.The next day, his family again offered me to the indoor theme park of Time Square. I was like, I-am-shy-thank-you-for-that. Thanks Wilson and his family :) . Basically, we were there to enjoy ourselves and at the same time take care of the other 3 kids, Wilson's sister and her friends.

The next day, I joined another group of friends to Sunway Lagoon for Water,Amusement and Scream Park. Seriously, scream park in Sunway Lagoon is not something like those riff-raff 10 minutes 'Ghost House' setups you find in those typical fun fairs. The size of the park is 10 times bigger. The environment inside is amplified by horrendous soundtracks and sudden bing-bang

before the man-liked-ghosts ambush you from nowhere.The building can also create effects such as emitting smoke that block your vision and 3D effects which make the surrounding 'turns' as if we are on a wavy ocean.It can really turn u on.Haha.

Well, in fact there are a lot more than what can be described in words.I believed abstractness could only be well-defined verbally.I am not going to dwell on it any further nor precisely.

Everything looked fine before we finally packed our stuffs and returned home. Earlier, we bought KTM tickets scheduled at 8 pm.At 7.30pm. we took a cab to KL Central from Casa Subang. Wow, thats rushy huh? LOL . The taxi driver did his best to speed towards KL Central and we manage to get into the train.Yes, we got into the train when it was moving, which means the train will had gone if we are few seconds behind. Nevertheless, we still need to disembarked ourselves at the next station before we are kicked out by the train attendant for being unable to present the KTM tickets. The tickets were with the other 3 friends, whom we thought they had safely got into the train.Eventually, my scheduled was disrupted and we need to head towards Puduraya to board a bus.I reach home at about 1.30 am the next day.Well, I'd told myself to ensure no such repercussions in the future.Argh... wish I could have more time shopping there.

One year older, one year wiser.Believe in yourself and uphold your philosophies.

The Moments

Time flies.I could still remember the things I have done vividly during the yesteryears especially when I was still a secondary school student.Sigh, I wish so badly to enjoy back the moments I'd gone through in my former school.

SMK Methodist ACS Kampar might sound unfamiliar to you, but it was once one of the best school in Perak, proven by the histories.Former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaludin and Jobstreet Chief Executive Officer Mark Chang were among the top guns who studied in the alma mater before.Although the facilities here may not in par with other schools in Kampar district, the number of students was far outnumbered, and the buildings were 100 years old, I am still proud to be a student there before.

It is very hard for me to encapsulate my sentiments, gratitude and happiness after having spent 5 years there by words nor verbally. But I could describe it with single word 'Unforgettable'. Could we as a students reach to a certain extent whereby we forget all the things done by teachers on us? You may argue that most of the teachers were merely doing their part as a teacher or to fulfill their personal agenda that is to gain profit.But that is just you being stereotype.People often justify something with their stereotypical thoughts.Humans are natural judges.Their pair of eyes are very good at scrutinizing other people's weaknesses but not even a single sight on their strengths.If I were asked which profession is the most formidable, doubtlessly teachers will be the top of my list.

Today, I was driving to KTM station to purchase a single trip from Kampar to KL Central for my for friend.The roads are jammed because it was the peak hour - lunch time and school dismissal.I saw students wearing their uniform.It gave me a type of youthfulness feeling and I am envy them for still studying at secondary school.

I was quite disappointed that my former classmates of 5SC1 of 2008 were not united.We do not even have our own class T-shirt or any tangible symbolic items that symbolise our class.I hope all my classmates will soon meet again to have a gathering in the future.

As Simple As An Egg

We grow of course, but the only thing is that we grow unconsciously.It had been 2 years since we last saw him in Kampar.The images of him with us in our school, his happy-go-lucky behaviour, the simplicity of his mentality still vividly stored in all our memories,I believed.

'Hey, I forgot to bring my wallet.Can you please help me out?
*RM 5* without any scepticism.

My friend, 'Dan' is a boy who had been living in Kampar, Perak since he was borned until 2007. He moved to UK last two years and he came back here last month, if I am not mistaken. I am sure I am not the only one that who anticipate both physical and mental changes from him after having assimilated to the culture there.We saw a '2007 version of Dan' as no much changes can be observed, only a slightly fairer complexion and inches more in his height.Overall, it's still him.
We had a great time with him here in Kampar.Being absence for 2 years, he is authorised by a special power of attraction or a power of adherence, in the sense that he has the so-called power to date people out.Everyone will be missing him and will come out to meet him out because this 'golden opportunity' comes only every 2 years.Why I exaggerated his influence here?

Just imagine...

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Tham Weng Lik, who has been confined in his own proximity ( which is his house ) , met and hanged out with him until late of the night. It was a MIRACLE! He SACRIFICED his time , energy , and money which he usually won't. His desire , his addictions to physics and chemistry no longer effective , Dan's influence predominated that.

Yang Amat Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Choong Soo Teng, the one you hardly see, hardly heard about appeared surprisingly in Dan's BBQ farewell party.This is a story of a girl who can't even cross the road by itself trying to go to her favourite gift shop to get a Winnie The Pooh doll. It is just an illustration used on her.Well, if you are observant enough you will find both of them synonymous. She resisted her fears, holding her last ounce of courage and finally reached Remy's house for BBQ.

We had a great moments with him.We played DotA together, gossiping in ABC and for me,he hanged out to Kuala Lumpur with me.Getting along with him is so stress free because you need not think about any anticipatory precautions to counter any conspiracy aimed on you as this element is absent completely in his mind.I am not implying that other people will hurl their own personal attacks by any means, but I will not deny that I will get myself ready in anticipation of conspiracy aimed on me.With him, I do not feel that way.He is indeed a happy-go-lucky person.

Now,he is no longer a generous him.Don't dream to get RM 5 by just saying you forgot your wallet. He had changed,XD.Well it's a good sign though.We had a memorable 2 months time with him here.

Well,see you in two years time.

Rakyat Didahulukan,Pencapaian Diutamakan

People First,Performance Now ( It's better known by its malay acronym 'Rakyat Didahulukan,Pencapaian Diutamakan ) was the slogan picked in conjunction with our country 52 years of independence celebrations.March 8th 2008 was the day that grabbed the limelight in Malaysia's politics and histories. That was the day where the people fully utilized their rights as a citizen,invoking their voting powers,expressing their dissatisfactions,angers,hatred over the present government's administrations.Political parties started to deliver their manifestos within their constituencies,making promises and urging reformations.But why do I say that it grabbed the limelight? The previous general election was the biggest lost for the present federal government as the opposition parties succeed in wrestling Penang and Selangor, which were previously governed by the present federal government.That changes, the political turnover was a very crucial one,in my humble opinion because I believed that the losses would definitely have a massive impact on the government which had driven them to have reformations to suit the public's interest.Since then, a lot of reformations had taken place.YAB Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak replaced YAB Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as the 6th Prime Minister.In the aftermath of the political turnover, our present Prime Minister had introduced the 1Malaysia concept with the slogan, 'People First, Performance Now'.He pledged to put the people in the highest priorities, forming a melting pot which has many common grounds and to unify all the people in this pluralistic society.

The released of ISA detainees , cancellations of 'race' column in official forms and other implementations clearly indicate that the government is serious in achieving 1Malaysia and to deliver their promises.In the midst of that harmonious racial integration, I was expecting a different Merdeka celebrations compared to the previous one. But it turned out to be a very mild celebration because the fear of the viral outbreak infections predominated the desire of all malaysians to take part in such gatherings.Their aversion on the gatherings did not mean they are less patriotic,as patriotism should be possessed in our heart, not to display insincerely.

Well,enough of politics.I visited Kuala Lumpur and Subang Jaya on the 30th and 31st of August and was intended to celebrate Merdeka there.It was disappointing that the celebrations were mild.It was my first time to spend my time there for Merdeka.Instead, I ended up elsewhere.My first destination right after I reached Kuala Lumpur was Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.I went there for the 'Book Fest' hosted by 'Popular Book Store'.

I bought 3 books :- a) THE 100 A Ranking Of The Most Influential Persons In History
b) 100 Great Wonders Of The World
c) A Little History Of The World

You know? If you do not own a car in the city, it is indeed a hassle for travelling.I am sicked of waiting for the train which I depended on for my transportation.I headed on to Asia Cafe at Subang Jaya for dinner with my friends who lived there.That time we were still discussing where and how to celebrate the Merdeka celebrations.No consensus was reached even after we finished our dinner.Then, we went to one of my friend's hostel before we took a taxi to sunway pyramid.There we met another friend from Kampar,together with his cousin.It is a SHE.After that, we went into a club next to sunway pyramid named Coco Banana.I had a great time inside and we spent the night celebrating Merdeka inside there drinking and dancing.We stayed there until 3 am and we went to a nearby stall to have some hot drinks before we got ourselves home.I slept in my friend's hostel until the next day.The next morning, we headed to sunway pyramid again to shop.YESSSSSS, finally I managed to buy a bag.I bought a converse sling bag there and also a Padini T-shirt.I was planning to buy a pair of shoes but ended up going back without one.Well,after complete we took the train to Petaling Street and had our dinner back.Then, we headed to KL Central to board on an express train back to Kampar.We reached Kampar at around 12.15 a.m.Overall, the trip was a wonderful one for me.

I lived for myself.I have my own principles and lifestyle.I am just being myself.

Toilet Again...

First few days after my course commenced, I'd directed someone to a wrong toilet, believed to be a tutorial room.For a speech presentation, two of my friends presented something about toilet.One talking about the ways to clean the toilet, another about the ways to analyse our health condition through feaces.I was doing a research on a toilet and are required to come out with a report.Last week, I was attracted by a toilet cleaner,and today... I WENT INTO THE FEMALE TOILET! Today my tutorial group is having their presentation, the rule is we are only allow to move in and out from the room only during the interval between speeches.So,today as the presentation was going on, a lot of noise were coming from next door.The tutor asked me to tell them to remain silent, so I went out.Soon after I had done my job, I peeped into the room to see if the presenter has finished her speech.She was still talking,but at the edge of concluding.So, I hastily direct to the toilet before she ends her speech.As I opened the door,I felt weird as the surroundings were so pinkish! WTF...then a girl leave the toilet and she saw me.Only then I know what was happening.

I am one and the only one.I cannot change the world.But I can change myself.

I Was Attracted By A Cleaner!

Today is Thursday.Yawning.I woke up at 7.20 am to prepare myself for the 8.00 am class.As usual,I rode my motorcycle to school.The lecturer was not there yet,as expected.So,I went to refill my bottle with water.Few minutes later,I wanted to go back into my lecture room after going to the toilet.So I walked , walked and walked.There was a cleaner there...cleaning the floor in between the door made with glasses and my lecture room.I keep staring at her while I was walking,heading to the lecture room.Suddenly...bang.WTF!!! I banged myself onto the door.The door was invisible, and alongside the door were all glasses.I thought that was the door as it was 'toooo invisible'.The door i banged onto was locked...but the door next to it was opened.I quickly looked around and gave a sigh of relief with my hand on my forehead as there were not much people around me.Only few of them looked as they heard a loud bang.I was too obsessed with the cleaner that I do not realise it.Then the cleaner told something to me...but I could not remember.I went into the lecture room as usual,and laughed at my own stupidity.

How many 10 years are there in our life? Life must be happy and meaningful.Utilize the time you have wisely,emulate the wain,the older it is,the more valuable it is.

What else does a football team want besides becoming the champion and 'mengucup piala' ( what my teammate said )?

Everything went wrong for our first game.We did not bring our jersey and we wore different colours of T-shirt that I believed the factor of losing the game.We created many chances to send the ball back of the net but the ball seemed going against us.Either it was flying over the crossbar or the shot was not on the target.Defenders were doing well all the way,but they were soooooooo lucky that all the defenders including me :p were careless few minutes after second half began.The opponent then scored...ADUH was the only word we uttered that time.Hahaha.
Final score 0-1.

After a miraculous comeback,we won all the games by only conceding 2 goals and scoring 10 goals in 5 games.So here is a summary of the scoreline :

That's the summary for under-18 category.

I also took part for open category.Surprisingly,we qualify to quarter-final.Our participation in this category was merely for fun and experience only.We do not expect to qualify into quarter-final as the other teams were so good and experienced.Moreover, my teammate were small in size,mostly students of form 4.Size doesn't matter.'Ketajaman matters'...Hahahahah ( if u understand what I say ).

So,one day, we were to play against KTAR...my brother's team.He was the goalkeeper.He was behaving as if they will surely win and no one can score pass him.Few minutes after the game started,unexpectedly, I scored the opening goal.Wooooohoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! The feeling was sooooooo great...because I scored pass him that shut his mouth so tightly.Able to see their team in frustrations was a joy!!!Go to hell!!!After that,we scored another 2 goals,both by Heddy who was really sharpppp.Lol.They looked down on us before the game and finally they were stunned by our 3 goals.Earlier we lost 3-1 to another team but I am not in the game due to injuries.However,we still able to qualify into quarter-final.As expected,we lost in the quarter-final because the team we were playing against were the overall champion for open category.
Hahaha...Looking forward for another competition next month.

Who knows? I opposed the stereotypical perceptions that Malaysia's matriculation programme is something that most students are yearning for, some might even cry when they are not shortlisted for the programme.But for me, I have a different point of view.Yes, only the creams of the crop stand a chance to join the programme, and the 10% racial quota for non-Bumis makes the entry inside even harder.UM , USM , UKM , UPM are the universities which I regard as 'ada standard' and I believed I can easily enrol inside as a matriculation student compared to those STPM students, but the life inside there really doesn't suit me.The syllabus are in BM,only Mathematics is taught in English.Orientation week gave me a bad impression of the college and I fall sick soon after the orientation ends.My appetite gone, getting thinner and thinner and almost collapse when I was on the staircase.The feelings of homesickness and depression were so intense.Me myself, regard as someone who is cheerful could hardly smile there.So, after a long considerations, I made up my mind and finally ended up in UTAR Kampar campus.Today is my first day there.I never attend the orientation so I do not know anything about the campus.My friend and I just struggled there to get to the place we wanted to go.At about 9.45 a.m, while I was sitting to read a book, a guy came to me and ask...

As usual, I made my own decision.I answered confidently without much thoughts.

I was so confident because I was in the washroom before that but not the one that I'd pointed to him.When he was heading to the washroom, suddenly I realised that it is a lecture room, not a washroom.I could not do anything, only to cover my face with the book I am reading.I burst into laughter behind the book and hope the guy will not look back to me in surprise.

If success is equal to A + B + C , then A is hard work , B is determination and C is keeping your mouth shut.

Friends of the same company.Charlie Dragon!

Eventually , I'd completed my national service officially on 7th and today,most of my friends are getting ready for their home sweet home.Today is the semester break for all the trainees, also the day whereby most of the trainees will end their service as they need to pursue their education.It's very hard for me to express my mixed feelings that I've gone through for approximately one and a half months inside there.Time past just like that.I tried to appreciate and enjoy every moment i spent with my friends, the things I did there and the priceless experience I got there. Doubtlessly , sometimes the activities conducted there were quite boring and monotonous , but it will be enjoyable doing it with the friends there.Among the achievements and involvements that I could not forget are my participation in Bahasa Melayu debate in which I got nominated as the best speaker :p and a presentation of me playing a role as a bridegroom XD.I was so disappointed when my company lost the futsal competition , standing on the last place.The day before i left,6th , I joined cross country.It was so much fun although I was in complete fatigue and the sun was blazing for the entire competition and I successfully secured an 18th place.All the experiences I gained there , doubtlessly will be in my mind forever and I am thankful that I got selected for National Service that had given me new friends, new experiences and most importantly, I believed had change me for the better.

Matriculation

17th of April,once again I was back from my campsite.I applied for 3 days holiday to do all my education stuffs.I was 'soooo lucky' to get selected to attend matriculation in Pahang on the coming May 11th , but I really don't feel like going.Seriously, i prefer A-levels rather than matriculation which limits me ONLY to local universities and leave me a very slight choice to pursue my education abroad.If I take my financial condition into consideration, matriculation appears to be a better choice.A-levels cost me a lot but upon completion I will have broader choices.Now,I think I would opt for matriculation.What I could do is just to endure.Sigh.

3 Days Break

I'm back! Only for 3 days though starting from Friday.Today I will be leaving once again back to the campsite.Two weeks inside the camp really gave me good experiences.The number of flies in the campsite was indeed an eye-opening scene for me as I did not see that amount of flies before.Every corner you go, there will be flies as your companies.Even toilet , classroom , bedroom and of course the canteen you can find them there.Imagine, I need to take the plates that are not properly washed with some leftover sticking on it and have to take the food where millions of flies ( maybe I exaggerated ) hanged on it.Surprisingly, there were campsites which have a poorer cleanliness maintenance , so I am quite contented with what I have now. Everything was OK for me so far, besides the cleanliness but my dorm's toilet always runs out of water supply so I have to walk certain metres away to the other dorm's toilet.Regarding showering, I enjoyed the cold water there as the weather there was damnnnnnnnnnn HOT!.I bathe semi-naked with a beach pant with my Kuala Lumpur and Selangor's friends there , and some Perakians and not all of them go naked as what I was told before I enter the camp.My skin gone darker and darker.Only merely two weeks , the changes of my skin's tone were so obvious.I did apply sunblock but I still grew darker.There were newspapers in various languages whereby I can check the latest update of nation's news and football's news there.The foods there were nice, contrary to what other's opinions that the foods were terrible. The only thing is the foods were polluted by the flies.I am in dorm 6. My dorm's enrolment is 28 if I am not mistaken comprising of 20 malays, 4 indians, 3 chinese and 1 orang asli.Most of the malays are Kelantanese and I hardly understand their Kelantan's dialect. Gradually I started to pick up the language and it's quite funny XD.I hate some malays who behaved as if they are uncivilised , like cutting queue , shouting everywhere like monkeys and rushing for food.They seemed like monkeys that are starving in hunger.No offence , but there are still good Kelantanese there and a few from my dorm.The lessons inside classroom were quite childish and look like kindergarten but I did learn something from there , only some.The coaches and teachers there were quite good.After having my haircut there , I am shocked and couldn't believe my eyes when I look at myself in front of the mirror!!!Who is this ???!!! Few days later, I started to get used with my new appearance , and I found it quite comfortable with my new look.I promised I will post my picture here and I am sure the viewers will not get used with my new look lol.

Can you see my eye bag? It's so deep. It's due to excessive smiling and laughing in the camp, according to my friends there.They said that I am crazy because I burst into laughter for no reason XD.I did not have enough sleep there because we only have approximately 5 hours or less to sleep only.The dark rings surrounding my eyes are very obvious too.Overall the camp was quite fun , haven't reach the exciting moments where we will be playing with firefox , M16 and so on.Hehe , I will take more pictures with my friends there and post it here whenever I am free but my phone's camera was spoilt , so I need to use my friend's phone instead.I will leave soon back to campsite and all the best for all wira and wirawati ^^.

For 3 consecutive months , I will not be using any shampoo as I no longer need it.My wax will be kept in my house untouched.I could not imagine how would i look like the next day,but I promised that i will upload my pictures in friendster after hair cut XD.Recently I am quite busy with my hectic schedule , so I did not update my blog.This blog could be the last post until june.Don't forget to visit me at Kem Terkok , Sungai Siput (U) , Perak.Upon completing national service , I will enrol in erm...maybe INTI ( not sure though ) to pursue my tertiary education.I heard those getting good results in their SPM examinations can get RM 100 provided the student bring along their certified copy of certificate.The good thing is , I can get the money lol.One thing for sure , there will surely be a reformation on my appearance physically.Good luck to all national service trainees XD.

It's 12th March Again...

Today , 12 March 2009 is the day that SPM results will be released officially.I am still in between accounting and law presently even I got my result.Shocked , sad , disappointed and frustrated that I got a 3B for my 'Pendidikan Moral' which had totally thwarted my hope to apply for JPA scholarships , I am doubtful about being a lawyer.Failing to get a distinction in the subject and with the encouragement from my school's senior assistant , now i am more into accounting.Need advice from experts or counsellor.12th March was once a day , for me , a memorable day.Maybe it is fated or it was just merely a coincidence that SPM results announcement fell on this very day, one thing for sure is that i will remember and reminisce this memorable day.

Today I went for a car test.Yipee , I finally passed the test.Goodbye to sleepless nights XD.I have already completed the test around 12 p.m but I have to wait for another four devastating hours before my agent send me home.By then an indian girl named Hemma who also went for a retest came to my rescue.My boredom finally dwindled.We chatted for some time , sharing jokes and personal experience.Our failure's factor was the same, forgotten the handbreak and the car rolled back behind the yellow line.After my lunch, there was still another few hours to go... so I seek for second helping,a cup of milo.After that, I requested for a walk to jusco in order to burn time on my treat.( First time in my life ) However, her agent will be there for her in five minutes, so the planned was called off.Yes, she was a friendly girl.

We ( Lobak and me ) check-in on the 23rd to RSC 6 SP 4... Jun Keat, who join us searching for our hostel was in SP 2.When I entered the room,the first thing that my eyes laid on was a bag...a bag in black.Curious to know the owner of the bag so badly,Lobak and I opened the bag and start searching for any identification documents.We found a file full with papers of anime arts and a card with a name 'Lim Kian Eng'...o.0.From that moment,Lobak gave him a name...'ARTIST'. First day was just a simple orientation.The next day,24th which was Lobak birthday turned out to be a surprising one.It was believed that two malay's burglars broke into our room and stole Lobak and Artist's belongings.The same thing happened to Jun Keat and Zheng Sheng from next door , RSC 6 SP 2.What an unexpected birthday's present for Lobak on that very day.I was lucky that my valuables were kept under my blanket beside my legs.On that day , Lobak saw two guys believed to be malays walking along the corridor searching every single room.Lobak also noticed the door was opened and he unsurely told me that he saw a guy beside me when he was half awake.He then continue his sweet dreams as he thought all that he saw was merely a dream until the next day where he start ADUH-ing when he learned that his handphone and wallets were stolen.The case was reported to the police with the assistant from our assistant manager,Karen Lee.We started working on the third day promoting Genting's World Card for eight hours including an hour of breaktime.The working cycle continued until the 9th.We all were treated to 'Be A Star' karaoke by our department's manager , if I am not mistaken.My singing was terrible...xD , so what i did was just to eat.I sang a few songs though.We got the permit to stay for another 3 days after our contract ended.So,what we did were to hang around , playing badminton , basketball and yam cha.The only thing we failed to do was to catch a movie. Everytime when we planned to catch a movie together , there will be some obstacles that shun us from catching it. On the 11th , we were keen and determined to get a movie ' InkHeart ', so we do our stuffs quickly...quicker than our normal routine. Yeah...we succeed to reach the cinema before 9.15 pm , the time in which we thought the movie will start.When we were there to get the tickets , the girl in-charge told us that the latest show was on 8.45 pm which means we were almost half an hour late.That day was the last day ' InkHeart ' will be on air so we could'nt watch it the next day.So,we proceed to another cinema to watch ' All Well's Ends Well ' but the show was no longer available.The following day,we just hang around and manage to have one dota friendly game.RM 4 per hour...ADUH.On the last day,we hang around,settle all the check-out procedure and prepare to go home...We soon bade farewell to each other.Although it was merely 21 days in Genting, I enjoyed every single moment there.What I appreciate most is not the money I gained, but the everlasting new experience and friendship I had there.I miss my room, roommates and the moments we spent together.It was indeed a great experience for me.

D-Day

It is 6.20 a.m.I am already awake to have a dim sum together with my friends before i go to Genting later.I was in complete fatigue.Recently,I had sleepless night and the day before, I only slept for few hours and it's suffering for me.Two of my NS friends were back yesterday with their head capped xD.They were just in time as we manage to have few games of dota and a drink together. Too bad,I am going to Genting soon and the rest of my NS friends are coming back today =.= . I got to see my future haircut from my friends and I think the appearance is much more better than what I expected =) . Meanwhile Lobak ( my friend,not a food ) and I finally manage to endure the boredness in Kampar until this very day.Now I feel like not going because my friends were back and will be back today...

A Very Good Start From Behind...I Guess

For all typical post-SPM students,they would have planned to make life enjoyable which was what i did too.Even before and during the examinations,I had already planned the entire activities throughout the coming holidays which seemed to be the most long-yearning holidays for me.Everything seems not getting along with my planning as the things just happened out of my expectations.First to come was the selection of the trainees for National Service series 6.Considering to be lucky to get selected for the service,I really hope that i will be in the first batch for the service.I was like...ADUH!!!...when i came to realization that i am not in the first batch but the second.So, I planned to get some job in Genting where I had already secured a job of Sales and Promotions Assistant there for the entire Chinese New Year celebrations.The period before I officially work in Genting was suffering and tiring as every seconds seemed to be hours!!! Having lived in a small town like Kampar,the most I can do are just loitering around night markets,gaming in cyber cafe or having yam cha sessions in mamak stalls or cafeterias.In fact,what I did was sleeping,eating,football and gaming.Second was because of my own STUPIDITY!!! It is quite ridiculous to say that I failed my driving test just because i forgot to use my handbrake =.= .I will go for a retest soon and i hope i will get rid of my stupidity.Thirdly,it is related with my school's magazine.I had submited 1 essay and 1 seloka to be published in the magazine.I was told that my seloka was barred due to the sensitive contents which may create misunderstanding...but it was OK for me.Recently,I went to school to collect the magazine and found out that my supposedly published essay was missing.To add salt into injuries,the picture of my club was also missing and the head of the editor gave me lame excuses which i really cannot accept it.I couldn't help but to vent my anger towards him.Haiz..chill~ The magazine had already been published, it's no use sulking over the matter anymore.Only with these ups and downs that make life interesting... Meanwhile,I decided to make my own blog,to cure my boredness.I believe this will be a good start i guess.I am looking forward to work in Genting ^^
